LaunchMyCity in Great Britain & Ireland

Small businesses are struggling in communities around the world due to the pandemic. Rotarians in Great Britain and Ireland learned of a Rotary initiated program called LaunchMyCity that offers proven strategies to help entrepreneurs and business owners be more successful. The program is designed so Rotarians don’t do all the work. Instead they serve as catalysts inviting community leaders to the table and together they offer a four step program that includes 10 weeks of business education, mentors, access to capital and mentoring.

The program was founded by Rotarians in Michigan and North Carolina and now boasts 19 independent Launch programs that all feature Rotary club involvement. In this video, PDG Matthew Kane from the Rotary Club of North Raleigh, explains how the program started and how Rotary clubs can follow a template to bring the program to their community.
