Secretary RAGCED
Summer Lewis

Summer started her career in international development in 2004 thanks to a Rotary Volunteer Service grant that took her to Guatemala to work with a women’s textile cooperative. She went on to work in peacebuilding, economic and community development, and gender equity initiatives in various countries, and ultimately became a Rotary Peace Fellow, completing a Master in International Studies: Peace and Conflict Resolution at the University of Queensland, Australia in 2012. Summer co-founded True Roots International, a consulting organization providing international donors and nonprofits training and monitoring and evaluation services to better plan, implement, and measure project impact. She currently supports Rotary’s peace and development work, coordinating Rotary International’s strategic partnership with the Institute for Economics and Peace. Originally from Manhattan, Kansas, United States, Summer has spent more than half her life abroad—working, living, and traveling across 35 countries and 6 continents. She is currently based in México.
